Our Commitment

Grounded Coffee House is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our website.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more usable for all people.

What We've Done

• Added descriptive alt text to images throughout the site so screen readers can convey visual information.
• Used a logical heading structure (H1 → H2 → H3) to make content easy to navigate by keyboard or screen reader.
• Ensured all interactive elements — buttons, links, and form fields — are keyboard accessible and have visible focus states.
• Labeled all form inputs with descriptive labels or aria-label attributes.
• Provided a skip to main content link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
• Included a floating accessibility toolbar with controls for font size, high contrast, and link visibility.
• Maintained sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds to meet WCAG AA ratios.

Known Limitations

While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards across our entire site, some older content and third-party tools may not yet fully conform. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps. Areas we are continuing to improve include:

• Embedded third-party ordering and rewards tools (Dripos)
• User-generated content and social media embeds
• PDF documents and downloadable files
